Where are you located?

You can find us in bournemouth lower gardens.

what are your opening hours?

we are open from 10am until 10:30pm - 7 days a week. our final skate session concludes at 9.45pm. Please note on certain days our rink may be in use for pop-up events or private hire. browse our schedules & socials to stay up to date.

do i need to book in advance?

our sessions can be booked in advance and are subject to sell-outs. our site is free to enter for those not wishing to skate. We do allow for walk-ins subject to availability.

how long can i skate for?

our skate sessions last for 45 minutes and launch on the hour every hour. you are welcome to book for more than 1 session but please be aware you will be asked to vacate the rink for 15 mins between sessions.

how much is skate hire?

good news…skate hire is included within your booking fee. your are also welcome to bring your own skates. if in any doubt over the standard or your skates please contact us on hello@summerskate.co.uk

are there toilets?

Yes we have toilets available and these are cleaned on a 2 hour schedule. There are also public toilets just 30 seconds away in The Lower Gardens.

is there a car park?

No we don’t have a designated car park, however, there are plenty of car parks available in Bournemouth. Please see; https://www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/Parking/Parking.aspx

can i bring my dog?

yes! well behaved dogs are welcome at our summer skate site (obviously not on the rink!)

By using the Summer Skate roller rink, all participants understand and accept the following terms and conditions and agree to comply to the rules set out:

You understand that roller skating can be a dangerous activity, accidents such as but not limited to falls, trips and collisions with other participants and permanent structures are very possible. These accidents can lead to personal injury, damage to your property and in the worst case, death.

Protective accessories such as helmets, knee pads, wrist guards and elbow pads are strongly advised but not mandatory, the choice to not wear protective accessories is up to the individual however no claims for injury can be made for refusal to wear one. Summer Skate does not provide any protective accessories.

Summer Skate will not be held responsible for the damage, loss or theft of personal property.

All children under the age of 12 must always be accompanied by an adult 18+ with a ratio of 1 child to 1 adult. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted on the roller rink.

Personal items should not be left unattended anywhere on site. Unattended items will be removed.

You will follow verbal instructions from the Summer Skate team and comply with written notices where appropriate.

You agree you may be subject to a security search prior to entry into the Summer Skate area.

There is no eating or drinking whilst on the roller rink.

Smoking is prohibited in the Summer Skate roller rink covered area.

You agree to wear suitable clothing whilst skating, this must include socks and no long or excessively baggy items, tops must also be worn on the roller rink.

Failure to adhere to the terms and conditions stated above and any instruction given whilst on site can result in the non-refundable cancellation of your booking as well as removal from the premises.

By using Summer Skate, you accept the risks detailed above and by doing so you release and discharge Summer Skate including its directors and staff from any claims involving injury, death or damage/loss of personal items.

Skaters wishing to use their own skates are welcome to do so at their own risk. Summer Skate staff have the right to refuse use of participants' skates.
